Meet Dr. Parkinson & Team
Dr. Parkinson
As an orthodontist, Dr. Parkinson is specially trained in the art of straightening teeth and creating beautiful smiles. Dr. Parkinson completed his dental training at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, after which he completed two years of advanced training in orthodontics at Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas.
The recipient of numerous scholastic awards during his training, Dr. Parkinson demonstrates the same level of dedication and passion for orthodontics in the treatment of his patients. Dr. Parkinson takes an active role in meeting and exceeding the standards of his profession. He is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Washington State Dental Association and the Benton-Franklin Dental Society. Dr. Parkinson is committed to maintaining a state-of-the-art facility, utilizing the most current technologies available. To remain up to date with the latest advancements in orthodontics, Dr. Parkinson and his staff frequently attend continuing education seminars.
In addition to his professional activities, Dr. Parkinson enjoys spending time with his wife, Heather, and their four children: Haley, Brendon, McKenna and Madi. Together they sponsor and participate in local youth sports and enjoy the great outdoors. Dr. Parkinson is an avid hunter, fisherman and scuba diver.
Colleena
Treatment Coordinator
Colleena is our treatment coordinator; she has 7 years experience in the orthodontic field and enjoys giving people the smile of a lifetime. Colleena has the pleasure of meeting all our patients at their initial consultation. Colleena likes to play games, and travel with her family. She has been married 30 years and has three children and four grandchildren. Colleena hopes to write a series of children’s books one day.
Eva
Financial Coordinator
Eva has been the financial coordinator since 2003. Eva has 20 years of dental/orthodontic experience. She loves being part of the process of creating beautiful smiles. In her words, “It’s exciting to see the kids grow up right before my eyes”.
Eva grew up in the Lower Yakima Valley. After graduating from high school she lived in Spokane and Missoula Montana. Eva is married and has a grown son, Justin, who lives in Indiana. When Eva isn’t at the office she enjoys hunting, fishing and going on road trips with her husband. Eva has vacationed in Alaska and Hawaii. Melody
Scheduling Coordinator
Melody has been the scheduling coordinator since 2003 and has been in the dental/orthodontic field for over 10 years. She is always waiting to greet you by name at the front desk. Melody learned Spanish in High School and enjoys helping Spanish speaking families feel right at home in our office. She loves to travel in the warm weather with her husband and daughter in their motor home. Melody also loves to garden and sometimes displays her dahlias throughout our office.
Maleny
Scheduling Coordinator
You may recognize our new sceduling coordinator from our TV commercial. Maleny and her family were featured in our commercial when she had her braces on. Maleny will be working at the front desk in the afternoons. She is currently in her second year at CBC. Maleny is an artist and loves to paint. In her spare time she is a youth leader at her church and enjoys being a student ambassador at CBC.
Jill
Clinical Assistant/Lab Technician
Jill has been working as an orthodontic assistant for over 6 years and has been part of our team for 3 years. Jill helps out in the lab and makes most of the retainers. Jill loves her assisting position and enjoys getting to know her patients. She is always thrilled to see how a new beautiful smile can influence a person’s life. Jill loves to travel often to Hawaii. Jill spends her free time boating on the Columbia River. She likes to live a healthy life and goes to the gym often. She also likes to spoil her Yorkshire terrier dog, "Rocco".
Ashlee
Records Technician
Ashlee was born and raised in the Tri-Cities. While attending the dental program at Tri-Tech she found her passion for orthodontics. She loves to play softball and in her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors camping, boating and fishing with her family. Ashlee prefers to take vacations in the warmer climates, Texas, Florida and Hawaii. Ashlee likes to be a part of changing patients’ lives while transforming their smiles.
